Unaccustomed As I Am...

... to holding VERY young children... I did. Proof:

That would be YrHmblScrb and great-granddaughter Mya, taken yesterday afternoon.

Here are the members of the SN1 family, less SN1 hisownself (who remained in South Carolina due to a previous committment with the Inspector General, in the form of an Operational Readiness Inspection [ORI]):

Left to right: grandaughters Natasha and Felicity (holding Mya), daughter-in-law Erma, and grandson Sean.

Erma and Co. are in P-Ville visiting Erma's Mom. They stopped by yesterday afternoon for a visit and a couple of beers. Well, Erma and I drank the beer; the others didn't.
A good time was had by all none the less... Erma and I getting the best of the deal.

  2. Hey you are pretty good with kids. Your GGD is beautiful as is your grand-daughters. Erma looks like one of the girls. Sean is growing like a weed. I'm glad you got to see them all and do some visitin'.

  5. Nothing like holding a baby. Sweet milky baby-breath, and soft weight in your arms. Sigh. God bless your family, Buck.

  8. Thanks Dad! Great pic of the family...I do miss them! I'm wondering what the look on Sean's face is about?

The IG is "testing" us severely (read: kicking our asses!) this inspection. I'll let you know how it all turns out.

  10. Buck: I may have created a monster. I only had Trippel, 1554, and Mothership Wit in the fridge yesterday, and Erm had not one but TWO Motherships. She kept going on about how good it was, so I sent her home with a sixer of same. She sez all y'all don't get any New Belgium beers in South Carolina, so you might wanna start looking around for a suitable Wit. There are a LOT of 'em out there. Anything to get her off that Bud Light crap... :D

Moogie: We did most certainly did enjoy (see above)!

  12. Damned IGs. Your son should enjoy this:
“A typical IG is a man past middle age, spare, wrinkled, cold, passive, non-committal, with eyes of a codfish, polite in contact, but at the same time unresponsive, calm, and damnably composed as a concrete post or a plaster of Paris cast, a human petrifaction with a heart of feldspar and without charm or friendly germ, minus bowels, passion, or a sense of humor. Happily, they never reproduce and all of them finally go to hell.”

  13. Doc: That's about the most appropriate and pertinent description of the IG I've ever read. (present company excepted of course, but you ARE out of the biz)

    Thanks for that!

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
