Scrapin' the Bottom o' the Blogging Barrel III

Or... an update.  Or, further... trapped in the house.  I mentioned yesterday that I had my doubts the new laptop would arrive today as predicted, seeing as how it was in Anchorage when we posted.  But...

Well, dang.  How about that?

  1. Whoohoo!! I'm sure you can't wait to get it in your hands! Enjoy!
One thing I don't like about FedEx: they hate to come to my house. They always call to see if the roads are ok (looking for an excuse not to). And/or they ask if I can meet them in town because "your the only package we have at Floyd today". Sometimes they just go ahead and leave stuff at the Portales fire station and guess hope Jeff is there that day to get it and bring it home.

  2. Well, as far as getting it in my hands... yes and no. New toys are always fun, but there are chores with a new computer... loading software and all that stuff. So... you're sayin' FedEx ain't REALLY like those old commercials showing them drivin' out in the wilderness and delivering to the ends of the earth? It's shocked, I am! ;-)

  3. FedEx is pretty good around here, although they can be a BIT whiny.

They wanted our business, so we said fine, but you have to come late in the afternoon bec. that's when we have everything ready to ship out.

Geez, whine, whine, whine!!! Then it had to be the reg. guy AND an express (or whatever they call the other one) -- so more whining.

UPS does NOT whine. They get there, they pick the packages up and they go.

So we've backed off on FedEx. (Guess they don't need the business.)

  4. I like UPS better than FedEx too, Kath. A lot of that has to do with my "regular" UPS-lady who is just cool as all get-out.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
